Well I have to say your rig is the next big over the top 80 build, I feel the last one was Dusty's many years back. I hope you start a build thread so we can watch the progress!

Thanks man. I am by no means a fabricator and so it pains me to show some of my work. It's all solid and functional but I know what true art looks like and so I'm never satisfied - my buddy Eric owns Relentless Fab in Sparks Nevada and man I am always amazed and impressed with what he can do with steel, I can't compete. It's all coming together though, trial and error and lots of research, and money. Hopefully I don't flop it first time out

I figured... looked like a 6BT but I wasnt sure... I have a 4BT that I originally got for my FJ62. Now Im considering swaping it into the FJ40 instead... Cant make up my mind.. I have plenty of time to decide though. It will be a while before I can do it anyway... Baby boy on the way!
91.5 intercooled VE pump 5.9 in front of a getrag and 205

Engine mods to come later!

It's definitely time consuming and a bit costly.

This is definitely the wrong thread for this but just a teaser

I'm sure this fat fawker weighed as much as my 80 w the wife and 3 kids and 3 days gear.

I'm sure an 80 could go everywhere it went on Chevy springs and traction bar but there's experts earlier in this thread who clearly know better and luckily they discouraged the OP.

Rock on max!!!

I've contemplated rear leafs on mine, but can't really find a good solution for shocks without poking holes into the rear cargo area:(

Yeah thats definitely a problem. I don't see a way around it, I'll have to inboard them. That's far from ideal for sure.
