Hi,
I'm doing a v8 conversion and I need the engine bracket that attach the engine to the mount.

Thanks,
John

i have them in stock at the shop. could ship them tomorrow so you'd have them by thursday at the latest.:grinpimp:

have the motor mounts

I actually have the mounts and the bob firestein adapters.. What I need is the bracket that bolts into the block and to the standard gm motor mounts.

Thanks

I thought the Bob Firestine system just required a stock motor mount. Like this:

Hi Miker,
Yeah, that is what I'm looking for I got these

which I believe bolts on to the image that you have.
Where do I get these? I looked at several autoparts stores like
kragen and autozone and they did not have them...

Thanks,
John

you got the earlier style mounts that bolt tothe x-member. you'll want to find some later mounts that bolt to the block.

did you look in the instructions for the engine mounting kit?

i think the mounts you need are for a mid 80s to late 90s gm car or truck. very common parts......

thanks orange45,
I did not get any instructions with the kit. I bought them over a year ago. I'm just getting more time these days so I figure I'll start the project again. I was told these are not replacable parts because they don't wear out. The suggestions I've been given was to go to the dealer or junk yard. I have the motor mounts its the piece that bolts to the block that I do not have.

Thanks,
John

Hey orangefj45,

Sweet these are what I'm looking for.
I swear I did do a search . Your search skills are way better than
mine.

Thanks again,
John

In looks like what you already have are the rubber/steel mounts so I believe that you need to buy the solid mount and not the stock replacement mounts. If the mount you have now is rubber (that's what I see from the picture), then I don't think you want to use another stock replacement rubber mount with the one you already have. The motor might end up being too "loose" with both mounts flexing. I might use something like this instead:

Moroso 62510 - Moroso Solid Steel Motor Mounts - summitracing.com

There are a number of them available so don't think this is the only one or this one will fit your application. I think the length of the arms is different so you should try to find out which one you need with the stock mounts you already have now.
