Sure...I avoided doing that in the beginning as to not discourage others without 40s to join...trying to encompass all yotas.

I figured that
how about a mini 40 and a mini truck on each side

Yeah, that would work...fidling with it now.

What about all models crawling around the outside circle :)
I'll just keep shooting ideas, even though the one you did is great

More Detail, means more $$$ for reproduction. If someone wants to design one lets see some. More the merrier.

One thing to note, on the original SEAL there are 2 batches of Staw or Hay in the field and they were replaced with Birfs..

was just passing by, checking out the logo...

For capturing the Toyota vehicle essence, how about the Toyota sombrero... inside the sun?

you're welcome. :)

 Hunt and Peck? Trying to work out a cartoon or outline of the 2 vehicles. Found some killer clip art..

Added the sombrero inside the sun.

Mark,

It's a GREAT start! But maybe a little complicated graphically.

I'd toss the fields and hills background stuff. Doesn't really add any meaning to the logo IMHO. The simpler you make it the better it's gonna "read". Same deal on the birfields. Toss the complicated shading and go for a line drawing of the outline with hints at splines and bearing surfaces. For colors I'd stick with the red, black and white while making the center yellow; either solid or a fade. Maybe add a simple silver fade to the birfields to hint that they are round.

What program are you using?

Nick

on the sombrero... try two things (just to check it how it looks)

first one, size it down to fit the sun better, and perhaps change color to something a few shades darker than sun color...

second, leave size as is, but chop off lower 20% and move down so it is no taller than the sun itself.

just some thoughts...

the other comments about simplicity do have merit, especially when reproducing on shirts and embroidered hats. However, you could have two, a nice one for club logo and stickers, and a simplified version (less color count, less shading, etc) for using in shirt artwork. Can you spice up the splines on the birf ends?? More spline! :)

Nicely done though, I like it.

Good idea Nick, I'm using Corel Photopaint. Will work on this over the weekend and get it refined and work that Sombrero in there a couple different ways.

You can sleep when your dead :flipoff2:

It looks good ! I can't wait to see it with the little cruiser and truck in it.

I've been working on this for 2 cups of coffee now and have just surfed the other club sites and looked closely at their logos..

I'm redoing the entire interior of our SEAL. Will keep the outer ring with our club name, it really shows some high visibility.

May dump the 2 birfields and represent them with the 2 vehicles instead...or, just a cruiser.

I'll make a couple and post them,

mark
