I'd like to have a 3rd (or 4th) CV axle ready to swap in for reboot rotation. The alternates don't necessarily need to be OEM quality. I just need spares on standby for quick swap.

Has anyone found a CV axle for under $300??? Tundra CVs are cheaper but they are not an exact match

I found a HERI CV for $80 at AutoZone...but the reviews said they often explode or come without grease...

When my old 4Runner needed a CV, cheapos were always readily available for $60. They hold up fine despite being so cheap.
The 200 CVs are $$$$$

Don't waste your time with after market CVs . I had a Napa cv that lasted one day. Boot tore between moab and Breckenridge. Paper thin rubber.
Check the mud classifieds. I'm pretty sure there is an OEM unit listed for less than $100 ;-)

Listen to @TexAZ on this one. He went through a nightmare in Moab dealing with CVs only to have it fail TWICE with after-market units. He was a trooper extraordinaire...but it sucked. :(
