Chassis code question??? (1 Viewer)

I haven't been able to find much on it so just curious.

I saw the new LX600 is the J310. Does this actually mean anything? Is it that much different than the J300 to warrant this distinction

I know in the past for the J80, J100, and J200 the Lexus followed the same chassis code. Maybe with the exception of the prototype J201.

Again, just curious....why the deviation now?
