Driving down the highway at speed late Friday night, I found myself in a situation. My power kept cutting and I'd drop down to like 35-40mph with my pedal to the floor. I opened up the truck on Saturday morning and started looking for culprits. I noticed a bit of diesel leaking out of the throttle body.
I cleaned everything off and pulled the control arm. I found the leak coming out of the edges of the splined regulator shaft.
My question is, can I replace whatever gasket or seal that has gone bad by taking this apart and rebuilding it, or will it be cheaper/easier/wiser to replace the whole unit? I'm not scared of pulling this apart, I just don't want to get into a major dilemma, as this is my daily driver.
Thanks for your input!
