An idea i've been kicking around for the past few years with UC is a charity softball game between the two clubs.

Set in Charlotte because it is around halfway from the main body of UC membership and ONSC membership.

Basically we have a softball game and have fun.

We get some sponsors involved for a raffle with all the proceeds going to a certain charity and individual or team sponsors donating money per RBI, Home Run, SO, etc.....
Try to get TLCA to donate an advertising spot in toyota trails and maybe get sponsors country wide to sponsor one team or another.

Timing has never really been right to get it going but i'm trying to do it this year. I'm talking to Rick and Marshall in UC about it right now. If they can't get it to work then there are other clubs I can possible get in to do it.

Looking to schedule it at the begining of april with a set in stone date to come soon.

Let me know if you would be interested in being on the team.... minimum we would need is 10

We got 2.......... need some more power

Brian, Ramon, Allen, Eric, where you at????

I am so in, second base.... when's practice? :)

I assume there would be beer, right? I'd so, you've got 1st base covered.

Practice should be regional before hand (that being said I need to get some charlotte peeps on board or i'll be practicing with myself )..... we'll figure out positions when the teams together.... we do need some speed for the outfield though. Once I have UC on board i'll find a venue and get a date hammered out.

I could do outfield. Believe it or not I used to be pretty fast back in my soccer glory days

I used to be pretty damn fast when I played middle line backer and did track... but some knee injuries caught up to me.... maybe I can recoupe some speed between now and then.

Trying to get our coach on board..... paging Kenny Monk

I'll update first post as more people sign up.

I'm in if you can put it together!

It's been 24 years since I played organized softball......can I be the DH too with a pinch runner? ;)

I'm in! Played college baseball and I'm on 4 softball teams throughout the year. Haha.

I guess I'm not considered power . I also played outfield all positions and believe it or not have baseball speed. maybe the UC guys will want me.

You want some cheese with that wine ??? :flipoff2:

You said that you maybe could do it so I haven't put you on the roster yet.... i'll add a maybe column for you

We'd love to have you down for the game.... we would have to hit up the White Water Center afterwards for drinks.

I'd like to put in a request to benefit the Hope Lodge in Charleston. The huz stayed there as did I after the whole cancer thing. The people are phenomenal and the cost of lodging is expensive in that area. I could never repay the kindness ...just an idea.

I know I'm just a "girl" but I played varsity when I was in jr high and can hold my own and am fast. I bet I'm way better than Meatball! :D

Well everyone in this club is way better then me at everything I do. Haha to be honest I prob could not even make contact with the bat and ball anymore but if I do watch out. I will need to dig up the old baseball photos this weekend.

Meatball

Not true bro, not true. I couldn't manage a business like you do yours.
