We will come.. Rob is a great 3rd baseman..haha. But seriously. It will be beat if I DONT play. Im horrible. Rob could probably do it.

It's charity it doesn't matter. :grinpimp:

Where's Ramon and Eric Rymer at??????

John Vee??? I thought this would be right up yours and Sara's alley??

April is a terrible time for me to try getting a weekend day off. I literally won't know if it's possible until the week before. I'll see what Sarah says.

I'd like to suggest finding a charity recipient that is either based or HEAVILY involved in NC and SC. Preferably with a good ratio of cash in to cash out. www.charitynavigator.org has a great search tool.

X2 ... we gave fairly heavily this month to them.

As for my ability to play, I am up in the air on that one due to some job related issues ....

I've never played baseball or softball since I was 7 and knocked unconscious by a line drive. Was scared of the ball after that and just never really missed it to be honest. I guess I could try and go get some BP between now and April - or just let everyone laugh at me when I look like I was swinging for the first time in 31 years :D

Its so much fun! Even if you suck. I cant think of a better group to play with! Did I say we are in yet?

no worries batting cages are nice and safe to brush up on things ;)

How much protection do these cages provide for the ego?

:D

I'll pitch to you Ramon, I'm sure we could get a few people in the Raleigh area together for a little catch.

We are free the weekend January 11 and could come in for a practice! We have balls, bats and gloves!

Hey everyone, new to the forum and back in the Charlotte area somewhat recently. A one-off charity softball game sounds cool! Let me know if team Olde North needs an extra hand.

Oh yeah, 40 and 80 in the stable.

Cheers, The Mantis

What about this weekend? I know of a certain ball of meat that may be in town.

I'm game... I'm sure the Morrisville community park would be open....

Do we have practice this weekend? :)

Let's actually practice! I have some fields close to me if anyone comes to my HAMOM. If I even end up actually having a HAMOM.... Having some trouble at home; heat pump went out.

No way are we going to practice when it's this cold out!

Good luck with the heat pump brother.
