After rebuilding the top half of my engine after the headgasket blew, started it up, sealed all the leaks and it's running good! However my charge light is on all the time and can't figure out why. Alternator and battery are working fine, in fact battery is running strong around 14 volts. All fuses are good, don't really know where else to look. Any suggestions?
Attach that black wire with the large ring terminal right behind the power stearing pump. OR you blew a break line, (yes they are connected) check your master cyl level.

I'm going through the same thing in mine. We have the same trucks. There are two harnesses that come out of the Alternator. One is a large wire (8ga I think) that goes to a distribution block on the Driver side fender near the PS pump like Pat said. That feeds around to the main fuse block on the Pass side fender. The other is a 4 wire harness that has a big round plug up in the same area. Those should be the only two places you have a problem. If you're still having a problem we can look at it Thursday.

Beats the hell out of me, all I know is that I'm too broke too get the @$@*&ing part until midnight tonight. I hate bank of america sometimes. Most of the time actually.
realy, it dosnt. Its just the stupid light. LOL I have no idea why its like that it just is. If he hooked up the charge ground, than its the break system. Every truck I have ever owned had this problem and if its charging its not the charge system.
Kyle you going to finish fixing all the leaking break lines down stream after you replace the MC? LOL You need a cheep MC? I have a few if your down this way.
What leaking brake lines?!? These pipes are CLEAN! I'm actually picking one up today and bleeding the whole system out at the last possible minute before FG, I'd kinda rather not wheel with no brakes. Furiously raging down carnage hill out of control doesn't sound that appealing.
