Do you think it's possible to open up a charcoal canister, clean it, replace the charcoal, and then reseal it? I've never had to replace one and have not opened one up. I know they are plastic and factory sealed, but, we are smart boys that enjoy a challenge and saving $$$$$..... so, maybe someone has attempted it.

I cleaned my canister but I would do it, as after did it I read a Toyota page about CC and I could of blew my self up. Well it wouldn't be the first time.

How does one know when it’s time to replace the charcoal canister? I have never replaced one and was just wondering what the symptoms are when it’s bad? Or should it be done on a schedule?
Also is this covered by the emissions warranty? C’Dan?

There's a test procedure in the FSM. You'll know to test it when you smell fuel vapors in the vacinity of the CC.
