I see a bunch of threads on this but none on the 200. I’ve got all the lights so I bought the can and the filter. What I don’t know is am I going to be dealing with gas in the hoses or what? Do I need to clamp those when I pull them or any other special info yall can share so I don’t kill myself in the process. I’m knowledgeable about most things but haven’t ever had to deal with the fuel system yet.
Please help a mudder out!

They only see vapor during normal operations. The caveat to that is if you constantly top off your tank and keep filling it after the pump nozzle clicks. That can overfill your tank to the point that fuel gets into the canister and is often what kills them.

Be prepared for the possibility that there may be liquid fuel inside the old canister. Perhaps have an oil catch can ready.

So an update on this. This is a half banana job at best with basic hand tools the hardest part is taking off your spare. Also, there are green plastic clips that hold on the 2 main hoses. Don’t break these! The can comes with one hose and luckily that was the one I broke. All in all an hour job with very minimal cussing. I’ll take that every time. Thanks to those who replied and this thread, yeah no gas, vapors or anything else and no codes since!
I was hoping for a spike in mpg but none yet.🤣
