was installing LEDs in the doors. All light changed and were working great - thus was last one to go.

New bulb wouldn't stay on. After pulling in and out, all the lights stopped working. Dome, doors, everything.

I started checking fuses. Changed #56 - dome 10a. Didn't fix. Then I put my key in the ignition. Nothing happens when the key goes in - steering wheel use To move and lights would come on. Now black. I changed the #69 fuse - telescope wheel. This didn't fix.

Now I turned to my key to ACC. Dash lights will come on but dash made a noise and gauges twitched for a few seconds. Then stopped and looked ready for truck to start.

Telescope wheel will work when I use butting but not when key is inserted. Before I freak out and pull every fuse, do s anyone have any ideas? Sounds like I have a short somewhere but how? Thanks!

The last bulb you changed, if you put the original back in, does everything work again? If yes, at least you've isolated the issue.

Tried it, didn't solve. I may have hit the bulb socket with some metal when changing. Has to be a fuse somewhere. Door locks don't work either.

Driver seat not working, passenger s at working. Changed fuse #48, no luck.

Makes me wonder why I got the clicking sound and why my gauges would be bouncing. Looks like a short somewhere. Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm stranded. I'm afraid to start truck and my headlights aren't working either. How could changing a bulb do all this?

Hopefully someone with a bit more electrical experience will chime because there is a lot of stuff going on here. It feels like a short to ground somewhere, but I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.

If you have the FSM, you may want to dig into the EWD (electrical wiring diagram) and see if the systems impacted meet somewhere upstream or share a common ground.

Thank you. Wish I could figure it out, this is making me sick!

Can get horn and brake lights to work. Passenger seat works. Headlights, dome lights, door lights, door locks, license plate lights and driver seat are all out.

Haven't tried the windows yet due to the clicking and light flicking - don't want to further damage.

Check battery. Make sure the terminal is tight on the post. Check battery terminal for corrosion. Try charging battery. Replace EFI fuse.

Thank yo

Thank you. Which fuse is EFI?

Replaced #39 - 'EFI or ECD number 2. No dice.

That was only fuse I saw that was EFI.

Not sure of number, but in underhood fuse box behind battery. 20A fuse. With all the electronics on the truck a weak battery or corrosion can really cause issues.

Interesting. I replaced EFI fuse in driver well. Will look at some 20a in engine bay.

Disconnected and clean d battery. No improvement. Does it sound like it could be a relay? Maybe a switch is bad.

Thanks for all help

Retracing my steps. Last bulb to replace was driver side rear door. I had trouble getting bulb out and did not remove housing. I did have to wedge bulb out with a screwdriver. Let's say the screwdriver slipped and went into bulb socket. If that was case, that would blow fuse - right? Anything else that could have done? Just trying to cover all my bases.

Also, I'm using a fuse diagram from an 04. Any major differences?

Sorry to rant, I really appreciate all help

Was looking at the EWD, the ACC 7.5 amp fuse in the cowl side junction block seems to touch a few of the systems you're having issues with. May be worth a look.

Yes if you jumped the terminals in the bulb socket it should have tripped a fuse.

Just for future reference: always disconnect the battery when working on anything electrical related. Even if it's just swapping out bulbs.

Ding, ding! Aging Fleet, you tha man. Replaced the 7.5 in the engine bay - my 04 fuse diagram didn't mention it!

I'm not crazy! Thank god!

Many thanks for all help!

Good, glad you got it figured out.
