used to use it in an old Dodge until pulled it out of the tool box when filling up the tank and the entire gallon was gelled up. stanadyne has been my favorite for long time.

edit: outside temp was about -10*F for reference

Okay!

My (limited) understanding is that it mainly helps in the cold. Living in Arizona I guess I don’t have to worry about it too much. I will stick with using diesel additive to help keep the injectors clean and the pump lubricated.

Thanks!

Diesel Service (company that makes Cetane Boost and Diesel911) is fine, those additives work well (I noticed increased milage with them), just not necessarily best for cold weather, in my experience. ALSO, that was a one time thing, I have never heard of anybody else having that issue.

Just use Ashless 2 stroke oil at one ounce per gallon to keep the pump lubed. I ran it on a pre ULSD engine.

The diesel forum here has a big thread on it.
I run diesel kleen in the silver bottle in summer and white in winter. But as I've always run it, I can't attest to a difference made. I've always run it in my older diesels.

Oh, okay.

I’ll have to check that thread out.

Thanks!
