Hi all, can anyone help me with this. Have a 100 series fzj cruiser. Changed out the old ignition bracket refitted new bracket with old key ignition key and switch. Car starts and works fine but now having problems with central locking. All was working fine previous to changing bracket and ignition. Have damaged spiral cable. Will this damaged part cause this problem along with the horn, airbag light, and cruise control.Or is there some sort of procedure to resink central locking. Problem occurring is that central locking comes on as soon as you pull key out of ignition, remote locking/unlocking does not work, key will only unlock/lock drivers side front door. Was wanting to know if there was a set procedure that has to be followed to re-instate security for my old chugga.

In the stickies section there are some good threads on door lock and key programming, might help. Not sure what you're getting at re the spiral coil, does the horn still work? if the SRS light is not lit then the SRS system is happy and the steering column airbag is not affected. I guess see if you have any joy with the door locking programming options, confirm your master key is good, check for any loose connections or pulled wires in the area you worked on.
