INstalled the CDL switch today. How do I know it's working? anything suppose to light up when I hit the switch b/c i get nothing. Now my gauge lights don't working when I turn on the parking lights and headlights shift lights and turnsignlas warning lights work still....Haven't checked fuses yet but wanted to ask.

thanks Sam

Sam,

The CDL switch when engaged, should illuminate the dash indicator light, and the ABS dash light is also lit. The CDL disengages ABS system. You should be able to hear the relay and / or motor on the TC lock the center differential.

yes, both the ABS and the little "ball in the middle" light should go on when the CDL is engaged. It may flash and take a while to engage finally (then light stays on solid).
Note, the CDL switch itself should become illuminated when you turn on the headlights.

The first time I installed the switch nothing came on for the CDL or the ABS light. Drove around some then shut the car off, and back on. I also cleaned the contacts on the switch and on the harness in the dash. Not sure if it was the cleaning or the turning off and back on of the LC but works like it should now. At the time when the switch wasn't working, shifting into Low did nothing for the CDL and ABS as well. All thats cleared up now.
