CD/DVD changer connection

Does anyone have a schematic or the layout for 20 pin connector to the cd/dvd changer? Mine just died and the dealership wants $2500 for a new one (insane!!!). If I knew what function each pin has on the connector I could try to mach aftermarket changer. Also for those who have ipod connector, is there a kit that connects directly or instead of changer?
