Just curious, do y'all use CB Radios when you head out on the trail? I haven't owned one before, but was thinking it might not be a bad idea… Thoughts?

I had them in my FJC but I dont yet have one in my 100 series....some do but most today seem to be using the handheld radios...like the Cobra or Uniden you can buy at BestBuy or Walmart. Short range in woods but mostly just talking to someone few trucks ahead or behind...and we make sure the leader and tailgunner have them so others that dont are stuck in the middle.

for cb I had the Cobra all in one where you mounted your receiver under dash...cut hole for connector and the volume, dials, weather, speaker, etc is all in the handset....I liked so I could disconnect and nothing for thief's to want. It is not as loud as conventional but they sold an external speaker you could use....and think can do using bluetooth through stereo on new ones. I used it all the way to Colorado and back for FJ Summit and loved it.

The answer should be no on the cb I have one take it to Urharrie and no one is ever using one up there. Go with the compact cobra they are still ok quality .
