Hi Everyone,

I am intrested in what others are seeing what temp their cats are. The search engine found a thread that stated the temp should be about 100 degrees between the inlet and outlet.

I'm trying to determine to see if mine on my 96 are going bad. I have heard a number of people having problems around 110k.

Thank you for your help,

I tried to take my cats temp for you, but everytime I got near his rear end with that thermometer he took off like a crazy beast!

Sorry!

From a process of diagnosing every component in my emission system and working with an emissions tech guy, I know my cats are not functioning properly at 136k. They also run hot enough to make the passenger foot well hot to the touch after a decent drive. I don't know if these two symptoms are connected. It seems to me a break down in the precious metals should not affect operating temperature.
