It's been awhile but I think this is only the beginning of what's to come. Years ago Dean (Bambino840) were talking about how we need to approach these attacks differently with legal action. And I think that's the only way we are going to have a hope this time. Anyone with any knowledge about how to go about this I strongly suggest saying something so we can get a united front moving forward.

They are going after one of the best kept and managed trail areas in Alberta. If they can do this here the rest is going to be steam rolled in the blink of an eye.

Got a link to post John?

Just the stuff I've seen on Facebook and in the news. Trying to get something together some how to fight this. I doubt we can get something together in time but if we can get something rolling besides constantly compromising or giving that up to keep this we might be able to claw this area back into public use through the court system. Just trying to get people together so we can start raising funds and unite our front. I already got some other groups turned around because as per usual the trucks get offered as sacrifice. All that does is weaken the numbers to combat these closures. So now we just need to get a plan together to move forward.

The good news is this is probably the best shot at uniting all users finally. The previous government was very good at the divide the groups and getting us to point fingers at that group or this group.

The current government however has a streamline affect of upsetting everyone at once and basically laying out in black and white for all to see at the same time what the previous government would do separately and over time. So the announcement of closure to all highway registered vehicles almost immediately and phasing out OHV in two to three years just puts it right front and center that we are all in this together. Now we just have to unite the energy this has caused and use it to fight back.

I heard this on the radio, CBC.
The Crowsnest ATV club (Quad Squad) was very vocal about their disappointment, and they are a fairly large and actively environmentally responsible group.
Their chief complaint was all the user consultation and work that went into the recent southern Alberta drainage study was basically ignored by these closures.
