Good afternoon, is anyone a carvana employee that could get pictures of underneath a lx that is for sale?

If they won't send it, find another LX.

LX are dime a dozen
Yea so far no luck sending. I haven't been able to find the color combo that my wife wants, black or blue w Cabernet and she wants lowish miles with no accidents.

I think you'll have a hard time getting any extra pics from Carvana, that's just not how they are setup. The regional reconditioning centers are large and have a lot of cars and not many administrative employees. I've actually toured one through a friend that worked at one and I doubt you'd find a human who could circumvent the system and post bootleg pictures of a specific vehicle. That's just not how they are set up.

We did purchase my wife's car (2019 VW Golf All Track) from Carvana and had it delivered from across the country based on the standard pictures and were pleased with it. It had always been in Southern California, was a few years old, had some decent maintenance records on the Carfax. Mileage was low enough we were pretty sure it didn't drive to Tahoe every weekend. In very certain circumstances (this one included) I'll buy a vehicle from afar without good undercarriage photos, but only with:
-Clean Carfax
-Single owner in a zero snow/salt region
-Modest mileage (ensuring it hasn't been driving from it's dry no salt region to snowy places regularly)
-Good maintenance records
So, I'd have no heartache buying a few year old low mileage vehicle from Arizona or So-Cal, or Texas or Alabama etc with zero to minimal undercarriage photos. YMMV, do your due diligence and make a decision. To me not having undercarriage photos of a vehicle that should be rust free based on where it lives isn't a deal breaker. Also note, Carvana has a 7 day satisfaction guarantee if you get really surprised by unexpected rust.

I bought and had shipped a 200 series that looked minty. Clean carfax. Could not get undercarriage photos. Was from a borderline rust area, and had been in Cambridge for a year. When it arrived, top end and interior were mint, undercarriage was a mess. I returned it and they reimbursed me 100%, including shipping. It was back on the site that week.

yikes. Good call on passing and good biz for carvana reimbursing you for shipping to your local store.

Good on Carvana for reimbursing you! I don't play with even a year in rusty areas.

My 2008 200 has never lived in a rusty area and still looks great.
My 2007 Tacoma lived with me in New Hampshire for just 2 of it's years and it isn't bad, but you can most definitely tell it had those two years. To be fair I didn't preventatively treat it but I did get the undercarriage washed at least a few times each winter.

I don't F-around with Rusty or "Rust Adjacent" Areas if I am buying without undercarriage shots. For the OP, your Carvana return experience is a good sign if he wanted to take a slight chance on one.

Yeah, that was exactly the risk I was taking. With the topside excellent condition and very low miles, I took the leap. They initially balked a bit at reimbursing the shipping but realizing I was not going to be satisfied (and I was a prior customer, so maybe that played a part?), they fully reimbursed.

Found another low mileage example with no rust in SC, loving it

There's an atomic silver with cabernet interior at United Auto Group in Dallas. Not the exterior color you want though.

I bought my LX there and was happy with the experience.

Yea I passed on the same exact one as my wife was against the color. She is dead set on black or blue. We have a blizzard pearl 2016 LC and she kinda wants the opposite color.
