I'm going to line the cargo area with Second Skin, and eventually top it off with the Tuff Tred (SOR).

My question, is what do y'all think is better for BETWEEN those layers:
1) Dynaliner ($140 - 1/2" thick material - enough for behind 2nd row)
2) SOR Felt padding ($93 - enough to cover whole vehicle)

Thanks.

Robert

The smooth bed liner, Durabak (?), not Herculiner. Line-X would be nice, but costly. But, the product line is of mixed reviews. Some simply HATE it, others swear by it...
Line-X seems to be universally adored (except the cost).

As an owner of the $OR Tuff Tread, buy a roll elsewhere instead of the pre-cut stuff from $OR. For the same price, you can do three or four vehicle's worth...
Besides, $OR trims theirs a little too much for truly complete coverage. DIY will take a little bit of patience, but I ASSURE you, you'll end up with a better fit and a thicker wallet.

*Disclaimer: I am not down on Marv at all, I patronize Specter all the time, and will continue to, but some of their products are simply not competitively priced and their shipping is always a mild form of rape. Their cataloge is unbeatable, however, especially in the range of products they offer.

Do you find the Tuff Tread to get hot - or does the liner (Line-x or whatnot) serve to eliminate that issue?

What I'm trying to do is create a durable work surface (hence vinyl) that is comfortable to sit on (people/pets) and not unduly hot. Since the original cargo area had a felt backing and carpet, I'm really leaning toward the easiest solution, and that'd be just a felt backing with the Tuff Tread (or similar vinyl) material. However, the product in your next to last link has a built-in padded backing. That may serve to eliminate heat transfer and to create a softer cargo area for sitting, pets, etc.

So I've just decided NOT to line the floor with Second Skin (or equivalent) or line-x (or equivalent) and thus, am looking for suggestions/options as to padding (dynaliner, felt, etc.).

Thanks.

Robert
