Hello, I have a 84 60 2F stock.
How hard is the carb strainer to remove and clean? Can you get to it by just removing the air cleaner housing from the top without removing or rebuilding the carb?
Does anyone happen to know what the micron size of the filter is verses the strainer size?

After wheeling recently I keep getting a dirt and gunk in my filter from the tank and thinking something small could get past filter into carb strainer losing power. Was running good until I shook the crap out of it 4wheeling last weekend. Changed fuel filter and runs better but not the same power it seems as before.

Thanks ahead

The only strainer is right inside of the fuel inlet fitting. It really will only stop larger chunks of stuff, more like a screen.

It is OK to get to, but I have never done it on the truck, no point really, if you think it is dirty, then there is dirt in your carb so you will want to clean the whole thing out.

Good luck,
