carb linkage question

I need to know which way the accelerator linkage cross piece goes can't find any pictures wasn't paying attention when I took it apart....please let me know..there is a wider and a narrower side(distance between two hook up points on both ends

The shorter arm is connected to the pedal.
The longer arm goes to the carb.

I am still not sure on this can anyone take pics and post them for me........looking at the spector off road diagram I 'm not sure which way it goes
