So, for the FJ60 crowd, prior to a carb rebuild, I am taking the SEAFOAM route. A quick note, to get a full can of SEAFOAM into the top of the engine, set your choke to a wee bit over 2K. Get yourself a thin shank screwdriver and a can of SEAFOAM engine cleaner. Remove the wing nut over the carb. Open the SEAFOAM, dribble the liquid down the screwdrive shank into the top of the carb. Works great, makes quite the cloud of white smoke (felt like the Army days, popping smoke for a helo pickup!). Now, off for a drive with two cans in the tank. Crossing my fingers.

When my truck wouldn't idle after resurfacing manifold and replacing all the spaghetti and the like, I removed the gas hose prior to entering the fuel pump and sucked a half can of sea foam through the system. I also sucked some through the vacuum hose that attaches to the brake booster. Oh man, has my truck been running great since? I then went and bought all the sea foam it could find locally. My truck starts and runs exactly as per the owners manual. Couldn't be happier. -6* outside and she started right away after sitting outside all night. Full chocke and 6 gas pedal pumps as per manual and it starts first try. I think sea foam was god sent!
