I've walked on most of the anti-skid coatings at one time or another. No thanks. The 330 MW power plant that I used to work at has grating similar to what I posted above for the outside walking surfaces of all 8 levels. Took some getting used to walking on a see-thru surface 80 feet up off the ground, but even in the nastiest winter beach weather there was never a lack of traction. It was good enough that those surfaces were OK to walk on w/o fall protection gear. The surface none of us walked on in nasty weather if we didn't absolutely have to was the solid surface of the generator level.
