Does anyone have a reputable contact for a car hauler they have used in the past. I used one a few years ago to ship a 40 and 60 to a guy in Colorado but I can't find my files. I have tried "Uship" but not sure how I feel about it.

Any contact info would be helpful. TIA.

Greg, give me a call and I will hook you up with Heather, she has cars shipped all the time.
My phone can be found in my link below

I'd like to get in on this info, too. I'm still in the hunt for a shipper to SF, but like you, the uship concerns me because the prices are all over the place.

Guy who came to pick up my tan cruiser and ship to PA. He explained how the brokers are robbing everyone and jacking up prices so he and his father are working on bypassing the brokers. Small outfit but been in the business a while.

Thanks for all the help. I was able to get things lined up and the vehicle will be picked up tomorrow and dropped off sometime Tuesday afternoon.

It's green and has a soft top.

It arrived...

Well I have to give hats off to Jack Walters with 21 Tow & Transport out of Kannapolis, NC. He called me yesterday at 12:30 and said he was 78 miles from pickup (Powell, OH) and dropped off at 2:00pm this afternoon here in Charleston (after dropping two other cars). Jack was very professional and stayed in contact throughout. I discussed with him a MOAB/Rubicon tow but he isn't licensed in states to the west but would do Harlan or any north south tows.

Jack Walters can be reached at 704.560.2041

So long story short...it's no cruiser (but it is green and a soft top)! It's my in-laws and somehow the transmission is having issues so I am going to be rebuilding the tranny and then taking it to their new house. I have already found out why I prefer cruisers....

It'll be a fun project and then I get to drive it around for a little while. With the turbo and Quattro it handles very well for such a lightweight car.

I just bought an Audi myself..... if I ever have any major issue with it I'm parking it beside the road and leaving it. Or using it for target practice. All it took me was one good look to try to find where a small oil leak was coming from to come to this decision. I did get it extremely cheap though. Good luck
