Caputured nuts for 3rd row grab handles (1 Viewer)

Anyone know if they are replaceable or removable? I'm trying to install my Speski cargo barrier, and one of the the nuts is stripped.

I think being a captured nut means they are welded to the surface. I'd get a tap and die set and try to repair the threads.

It wasn't welded (or the weld broke), as it was moving back and forth. I've seen a few before where you could bend a lip up and remove it, but I hadn't removed the interior trim to see if that was the case. I ended up using a tap to clean up the threads.
