NPS went with Alternative F. The document is 218 pages and I'm casually going through it; initially it seems "not horrible" but has some disconcerting elements. There are news Vehicle Free Areas (VFAs); permits and a brief course are now required for ORV; vehicle density will be managed; parts of the seashore will be completely offlimits.

This seems to eliminate the arbitrariness of some decisions and definitely does not go as far as the whackos wanted.

Post up your thoughts, I'll continue reading the Decision as well.

Well Alternative F was the Park's preferred plan. It does take both the accesses and the restrictions into consideration. I see the need for a happy medium, however, all it's going to take is someone to cross that line and give them the power to extend the boundaries...
