Canvas Seat Covers

I agree, they are less than beautiful and certainly no ideal.
But the notion of getting a cover for my driver seat is appealing...

I'm at least a year away from replacing any leather, I think Shane(Aatlas1x) has an excellent solution, I'm grateful that option exists.

But the summers in Texas are brutal on auto leather. Dry and hot does wonders for leather, and then you factor in when you get in the vehicle and sweat on leather seats. I've poured the leather protectant products on like crazy, but I can see the end in site.

So the canvas may present a solution to give me just a bit more time on my drivers side seat...once that breaks, I feel like I am forced to go ahead and pull the trigger on all the seats.

Thx for the link!

Thanks for the replays. I like the SOR. Anyone have these and does the color look good. Seems kind of yellow.

The SOR ones are a little more coin, but they look nicer, fit better, and I'd bet last longer. I have some on front of my wife's 100. They also cover the arm rests, and you can get a center console cover.

I have SOR covers in woodland Camo. Not my first choice of color, but I got a good deal on them. They fit really well and seem pretty durable.

The best canvas seat covers out there for Land Cruisers and Land Rovers are both from SA: Mellville & Moon and Escape. Both very high quality products. But neither are being imported to US. Special order (after Rand exchnge rate) is >$800 bux just for fronts. (Equipt does stock Escape covers for FZJ80 but not for UZJ100)

However, Kexby may be an option.

Tony, the owner of Kexby, did a run of covers for RRCs and I bought a set. VERY high quality, on par with the SA products, but made here in the US. Front covers had multi tool, radio, and map pockets sewn in, and were 300 bux for a pair.

That said, Kexby is not producing covers for UZJ100s.....yet....

Tony owns a UZJ100 and patterning a set is on his "to do" list. Like most small businessmen, if he gets enough interest no doubt it will move up on the list. If a few interested people post up in this thread I'll link him to it.

Hey RED, if they're on par with the SA covers, I'd definitely be in for a pair for 300 bucks.

I have NO affiliation to this company, but have ordered a few things from them from pants, to shirts and totes and have been very impressed with thier goods. I am toying around with the idea of these to start with and spend about 1 hour to modify them with groumets, stretch cord, hooks and a sewing machine for some pockets and straps to make them 'custom fitted" for my future needs. I can attest that their "Firehose fabric" is the bomb....and holds up, tough as nails. I like the 100% cotton canvas solutions vs. cordura or nylon. Plus with this option, you would have less than $100 into it, I guess it just depends on your look, budget and use you desire.

Thinking about adding the "cab commander to the back of one or both of the seat covers...check these out too!
