So since I am still up and reading through posts on page 21 of this incredible resource, I decided I should say thank you to everyone who posts good information on here. I have been reading forum posts like an addict since last Friday when I put a deposit down on a 2004 LX. It has just over 40,000 miles and is located about 5 hours north of me. My brother in law is off tomorrow so I finally get to go pick it up. I have a list of things to look out for when I get there but with only 40,000 miles, I am not concerned. I'll post pictures this weekend. Anyway, Thank you again for sharing your knowledge!

Congrats and Welcome to MUD! The LC is the best vehicle I've ever owned and my 13 yo son already said he wants one when he starts driving in a few years lol.

40K miles is just about as new as they come. Enjoy the ride home and post up some pics.

Congrats and welcome.
I just took delivery of an 06 LX470 with 53K on it.
Get the vin and run it through Toyota to see the service records.
I found two LX's (06 and 07), one with 24K on it and the other with around 36K. I thought those were my trucks for sure as they had clean car fax etc BUT luckily a couple members here pointed me in the direction of the Toyota/Lexus online service records and I found out Lexus service had noted both of those trucks had HORRID rust (to the point of danger) BUT no mention on Car Fax and both dealerships claimed to have a "clean" truck.

is the website on faq?

Easily found via Google. Just Lexus owners website.

Lexus Drivers - My Lexus

You can register any vehicle you have the vin for to see its service history of it's been serviced at Lexus. You can also easily delete a vehicle.

Really saved me from buying a big mistake which is still for sale (both of them with under 40k on it).

Good luck. Make sure to check the underside. Don't settle for ok wait if it's not your perfect truck as you will find it.

40K miles sounds awesome.
3 months ago I purchased my 2002 LX470 sight unseen and had to transported from Santa Barbara, California
to North Carolina. It had 24K miles on it.
Two weeks of worry and anticipation as I had to wire the funds without seeing it.
But, best purchase I have ever made. The LX470 is what I was looking for and its the most satisfied I have
been with any car purchase.

She is Home! Thank you for all of your responses. I had already created a My Lexus account and had input the vin based on recommendations to WatchTimes earlier thread, so thank you. I took my creeper to the dealership and rolled around underneath it for probably 5 minutes. I think the sales guy thought I was crazy. There is a small amount of surface rust but it is very minimal. The tires are nearly brand new. Under the hood it looks brand new and all of the seating surfaces look brand new other than the drivers seat which is still in really great shape. I am so excited that I am going to go look through the owners manual to try and figure out a few things but I wanted to let you all know that she is mine and share a picture.

Looks really nice, enjoy the new rig.

Nice looking truck.
I'm a big fan of the two tone paint with the bottom part a different shade.

Congrats! Put some 1.25" Slee spacers on - best mod I've done.

Wow...great find!
