Can't post pics. too big.

Hi there,

I am taking pics with my only camera - a Nikon D3000. Each picture is 3-4 MB in size, is there anyway I can shrink these down so I can post them in the forum??

The forum is 'supposed' to autoresize, but really large images are still an issue.

IrfanView is a good resize program, and I believe it's still free. I use a free image resizer available via Windows Powertoys....quick search on the forum outta find the link...

I would agree with Woody----IrfanView is great and has an excellent "batch" mode that allows resizing/sampling to certain pixel width/sizes to shrink file size.

BUT----that's still not enough and brings me to a related question Woody:

I have posted about 90+ times and from the description from user guide on photo upload limits for what I think is my *tier* says:

I seem to be maxed out at just under 150 photos and under 10MB. Most photos have been resized down to only about 50K yet I seem to be stuck. This seems a far cry from 1000 photos I think I'm supposed to be able to upload?

The bummer thing is I have my own build up thread going for the Cummins install into an FJ60 as well as adding many juicy details for a buddy's similar diesel mod. There's a good number of comments we've generated as it's a unique project for either mine or Cumminscruiser.

Am I misunderstanding the tier-level based on my number of posts?
What would you suggest?

good catch...I had the level set at 10,000,000 and it should have been at 100,000,000...fixed...

odd that no one has caught that before...
