Can't decide between KO's--285 or 295?

Before OME, I stuffed/flexed with 305's every way I could. Never ripped off a flare.

Yeah I wheeled the heck out of my 285's stock and they were fine. Oh and 285's don't look weak with the lift it's just 315's look less weaker. But when you are articulating on the rocks the 285's will look more bad ass. Thats if you just look at looks. :flipoff2:

. IMO should just go with 305's, maybe even 315's cause now after my 2.5" lift my 305's look weak....I'm going to 315's as soon as I can convence my funders :D the 305's are worn out.
You do realize that the 295s are LARGER than the 305s, right?

The conversion from metric results in the following:
The 305s are 305/70R16 = 32.81"
The 295s are 295/75R16 = 33.42"
And 285s are 285/75R16 = 32.83"

The reason the 305s look weak is because they are :flipoff2: :D ...they're the smallest of the three listed above.

FYI...315s are 315/75R16 = 34.60"

The only benefit of the 305s over 285s is a gain of about 3/4" width per tire.

(it should be noted that different manufacturers have different real-life measurements for their tires)

I made the mistake of trying to cross a small ditch in my 80 with 285 BFGs before having installed the OME. I ripped the left front flare off of my first 40th Anniversary. That's where I got the "idea".

Jim

Fair enough. I guess I'm lucky enough to not to have the clearance issues.

Some people prefer tall and skinny as opposed to short and fat

;)

Are we still talking about tires? ;p
