Canadian BJ70 LX Diesel 1985 12V Left-Hand Drive. 302,000 KM/187,654 Miles. 2nd Owner. Delivered new in Richmond, B.C., December, 1985. Vehicle is in Burnaby, B.C., licensed and insured, U.S. import eligible. Garaged since the egg. Unused 4-6 months each year. Usual body corrosion cut-out and re-metaled, full re-spray. Suspension replaced with O.M.E. 2.5". Chassis solid. Original sale document, manuals, etc. in-hand: sold for C$14,997.00 in November, 1985. Exchange for late model TOYOTA truck extended or crew cab, cash either way. Cash value C$13,800.00.
All mechanical work by TOYOTA technicians. This is the best of the best for condition and appearance, none better.
the good: unmolested, clean, straight, not off-road. Uses no oil between services, the usual one-drip-per-day when in use.
the bad: left side rear window defroster works right side not working, rear wiper works but lamp in switch has failed. Everything else works. Driver's seat worn-through at edge. Small rip at top of rear seat vinyl. Antenna tired. CD player not functioning (never has). Paint worn on roof gutter where carriers attach. Pin hole corrosion at extreme ends of fenders. Thermostat is (O.E.M.) 17 ohm, should be 28 ohm, but functional (to be replaced at a future service).
These works only performed since 1985, receipts in-hand:
-servicing at 5,000 KM increments, including oil, coolant, filters (air, oil, fuel), transmission & coolant fluids, chassis/wheel bearings/prop-shaft lube, battery maintenance, and any and all service as required
