For Sale: 1997 Land Cruiser 40th Anniversary model (80 Series)

Antique Sage Pearl metallic paint, leather interior, fully loaded with F & R factory lockers. 194k miles (shows like 94k!).

1997 was the last year that the amazing 80 Series was available in North America and the 40th Anniversary model is the best one Toyota ever built. The 80 Series features Toyota’s bulletproof 4.5L in-line six gas engine and solid axle suspension front and rear. This combo, along with the optional locking front, center and rear differentials makes for a go-anywhere vehicle. On the inside this Land Cruiser is equipped with lots of standard features (Seven passenger leather seating, power seats, power moon roof, climate control, cruise control, A/C, etc).

This Land Cruiser is in amazing cosmetic and mechanical condition. Three owners since new, original paint, no accidents, no rust – ready to go! It has only been in Canada for two years and during the winter it is washed religiously to keep the salt off.

I bought this rig with the intention of doing some overland adventure travel but a young family and business commitments have stolen all of my spare time. This vehicle has been used lightly off-road only four times in it’s life!

This is an overview of the maintenance and upgrade work that I’ve had done in the past 5k miles/14 months to get the vehicle ready for any kind of adventure. So many Land Cruisers are advertised with a long list of maintenance and upgrades but if you dig deeper the work was often done years ago or many miles ago. Everything on this rig has been done very recently. The total cost was close to $20k!
