Can we start a STICKY for available parts and part numbers 70 series?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, Skimlinks, and others.

Some of the other series sections have members sharing available parts and part numbers....
Being in the US and having a vehicle that was never available in the US market makes finding parts and especially part numbers a challenge. The Yota dealer waffles back and forth about giving access to part numbers of non-US market vehicles....Might as well walk in asking for parts for a FJ-35..?
Hopefully those in "open" markets can share what there able to purchase and and part numbers for us behind the US curtain..

You can get all the part numbers from Toyodiy, punch in your VIN and you are off to the races. That is where I pull everything that I have Akella bring in for me.

I usually run the part numbers through Titus Will's Toyota parts site to see what is available in the US system. Then order anything that checks good through Beno;)

My local Toyota parts dealer has proven to be worthless. Fortunately I have needed very few parts and Onur has supplied those.

If you are willing to ship direct from Japan, Australia, or the UAE I have had good results with Amayama.com. Type in the part # and you can usally see in real time at least 3 prices. I ordrered some parts and got them in less than 10 days. Shipping was less than I would have thought. It was really easy.

Really...........I was wondering........what did you get??? Share part numbers.

I ordered a seal that goes between the FRP top and the windshield frame.

I have found that using euro4x4 parts.com has good descriptions for 70 series parts. I have emailed them about parts and had good correspondence. I would order from them too.

I agree, I have purchased from amayama, use the toyodyi to identify part number, then punch into amayama to get prices, I have goodies just sitting in cart, once I'm ready to purchase it's all in there to go, delivered to door, and a whole lot more friendly for the minister of war & finance , eg oil sender 24v $195 locally, $45 at AMA. There is some freight size constraints, but for bits and pieces, it's a ripper, for larger parts just deal through Japanese based parts dealer, still cheaper than the local

as far as parts available for an LJ, BENO said most all of the consumables remain, only exceptions were an upper radiator hose and the air filter.

What are people using for FSM's?

There are multiple FSMs available on bit torrent downloads out there, that can cover the bulk of the 70 Series truck maintenance needs. You kind of have to pick and choose because one manual doesn't cover everything. The HZJ/HDJ 70/80 series manual (rm315 I think) covers some things and the 60/70 series chassis manual (RM3642 I think) covers a lot of 70 series chassis and electrical. The 1990 1HZ FSM is good and the H42/55 tranny/tcase manual is good also. I posted a link a few weeks ago that you can access the portal that has all the manuals for download. toyodiy works WITH pictures in the USA or Canada! I have NO IDEA why they blocked the pictures or WHO has the interest to block such things! But I also found other pages blocked by the US goverment... so much about freedom.. reminded me more of China or Iran...
Anyway... if you still want to see the pictures google for "free proxy". You can pick a proxy in Europe that is not older than a few hours, type it into your browser and voila, the pictures will show up! ;)
That's how I did it while I was in Canada and US and had to search for part numbers...

Toyodiy got slapped around by Toyota IIRC, but if you were a registered member prior to that happening, you still have access to the parts diagrams in N.A. Anyone registered after that, you only can access the parts lists:meh: Sent from my interwebz doo-dad

Just tell me the thread you want to sticky and I can put it up there. This one?

It's a good idea to have a thread like that, even to share sources of PN's/

Well for instance, the 45 section has a thread that should be sticky-ised that shares part numbers and successful buyers....so something along those lines

For those of us in the US that have these vehicle.....part numbers are hard to come by and even thru toydyi and the other sites that offer part numbers and info....a lot is unclear and a lot of part number have been superseded once or more

This discussion is full of confusing misinformation and the title is inane. DO NOT make it a 'sticky'

Thanks for your 2c... just tell the guy holding that gun to your head, you don't want to read that thread/sticky anymore

Part numbers are not that hard to find. To find out the superseded number is whole new story. In order to find proper superseded numbers for 70 sometimes you need to consider where is your 70 from and where you are getting the parts from. And of course you need most recent TOYOTA EPC which non of the sites online can offer.

99% of the online catalogs for toyota that have overseas models are copies of the toyodiy.com and used by Russian parts companies. If you are looking for full toyodiy.com access you need to search or ask around.

Best suggestion to people who are looking for 70 parts is to know whom to ask:D There are quite few places in North America that store or can get parts for 70 series within days.
