gday everyone,
ive got a 62 series cruiser with a 3 inch suspension lift and 2 inch body. im currently running 35x12.5 maxxis trepadors on a 15x8 landcruiser offset.
my problem is that when the cruiser flex's up, the tyres scrub on the shock mount in the front. i want to put 15x10 -44 to fix this but not sure if it will be too much offset. being a gxl ive the flares so im pretty sure they will fit perfect in the guards.
any advise or pics would be great.

cheers

I don't know how that rim will work, sorry. You could measure backspacing and compare to what you have now. You'll need less backspace to move the wheel/tiire outboard. Another option (probably cheaper) is to use wheel spacers. These usually run $100ish per pair, so at least half a new rim. Might not be legal where you are...but they're availabe in 1", 1.25, 1.5, maybe also thicker.

ive got a set of spacers but there not legal here. there only about 10mm thick so nothing serious. not a big deal when 35s and a 5 inch lift are illegal anyway haha

I don't think that will fix ur problem I know of a 60 with the same wheels and he has 2" spacer so it doesn't rub
maybe some 15x8 -50 mite work a bit better that's what I'm going to run on mine

ah ok, is there a such thing as a 15x8 -50 in aus?

if i can get a 15x8 -44 it would be perfect. i thought once you went bigger than a cruiser offset you usually went to 10 inch wide

Each of the following have steel wheels with an offset between -35 and -50:
1. http://www.kingwheels.com.au/index.php?route=product/product&path=49&product_id=64
2. http://www.procomp.com.au/Default.asp?MenuId=WHEEL_0082
3. http://www.mullins.com.au/Pdf/2011_CSA_Steel_Wheels.pdf
It seems that the larger offsets are offered on 10" rims only. When I bought my last set though, I think they all offered custom offset if I wanted it, no extra charge but it took another couple of weeks. I can't recall where I actually got them now.

cheers. that helps a lot. least i know it is possible to get them. ill have to have a look around town to see who can get some for me
