Can I put 2000-2007 OEM 22" and 24" wiper assemblies on my 1998?

I'd like to switch back to OEM wiper blade assemblies with refills, but having trouble tracking down the 1998/1999 OEM twin 20" blades that the 98/99 years came with.

I noticed that cruiserparts.net was listing the OEM front blades from 2000-2007 (e.g Front Wiper Blade RH 98-07 [85212-60171] - $21.95 : CruiserParts.net, Toyota Landcruiser Parts, part #85212-60171) as suitable for 1998 and 1999 too. Is that true? Can I switch to the asymetric 24"/22" OEM blades on my 1998? I'd prefer assym, all else being equal. Anyone tried this?

If it worked, that'd be awesome, make it easier to get refills too.

I'm not quite sure why OEM wiper blades would be important. There are plenty of other brands that make excellent wipers blades.

With all my vehicles, I like to fit the largest wiper blade as possible just to maximize my vision when in use.

Look at the path of your current wiper blades. If you see an inch or two or more of each side, you can increase your wiper blade size.

I don't recall what size I bought for my 1998, but I can tell you it was larger than the stock size.

22" and 24" will work fine. Same windshield. That is what I have on my 2000.

I think i recently went from the shorter blades on my 98 ot the longer ones and I love it. I was surprised with how much more of the windshield was cleared off with the new wipers

Yup, I just got the longer OEM ones on my truck, and its *great*.
