I need to know if these wood packages come off with out damage to the area it is stuck to. Has anyone peeled one off with out replacing it with another? I had one on my 4runner years back and it just started to fade and look like crap. I'd rather not have it. Thanks - Jeremy

I had mine removed at a body shop prior to installing a new wood kit because of fading. There was no damage to the underside. There are several posts in the 80's section about running the heat on high for 30 minutes to loosen the glue and then going back and peeling off the wood. Soap and water or some other mild cleaner should take care of any residual stickiness.

Good deal! That's what I wanted to hear. I'll do some searches over there.

Thanks!

There is a lot of info on this stuf do a search. I did mine it was easy just takes some time. My wood was faded so I wanted to replace it leave the heater on for 30min then have a hair dryer and just pull I used some rubbing alcohol to clean off the glue resdue.
