My pintle is now on top of my trailer's tongue.
The trailer sits nose down.
Can i remove the pintle under the tongue like this?
Is it safe?

Many thanks

Maybe because we've not seen a pintle hitch like that and are scratching our heads about what you want to do with it?

Ahhhh!!!!!....I see...
Here is a better pic

And another one

As i've said my trailer sits a little nose down while towing.
I can see two options
A. raise the hitch($$$ and issues with it hitting my spare ,or...
B. lower the pintle
Normally the pintle sits on top of my trailer

So i was wondering if it is safe to put it underneath like this

I still dont get it.... sorry...
can you post pics of it hooked up with yer rig?

Never seen a pintle hitch like that...

Here is the US that is something we have never seen. It may be a common hitch in Greece but not over here where most of us are from. To us the pintle is the part that is on the vehicle. The trailer has a ring called a lunette that is sets into the pintle and then the pintle locks once it is closed. Don't know you plan on hauling but with the axle so far back your going to have more tongue weight than way. The rubber boot covers up how the shaft connects to the part that you want to flip. It could be the same rating either way or could be less. Hard to even give a opinion without seeing how it is made.

Thank you!
So it's all a matter of my knowledge of English terminology:bang: not your understanding.
What you see in the pic of my trailer is only the frame not the full thing.
There is a tub that sits on top of it and as a unit is 60/40 balanced.

More info on my built here
Odyssey jeep trailer
It's just that my trailer is a little higher than is should...

I don't think the previous poster was asking to have a better look at the trailer...

but instead... more pictures, describing and detailing the hitch assembly...

I know that's not a pintle/lunette type hitch mount
and instead might be some sorta QDC ball mount.
maybe a homebrew design ?

I'm curious as to what is inside of that rubber boot on the trailers hitch...
and what that design is and what articulation that might offer ???????

sooo... more hitch details please...
