Can anyone tell me how much this 40 is worth?

I know times are hard but I think 3k is low. Considering the newer thinner sheet metal that truck does not look that bad (for a Colorado cruiser). And it all seems to be there and original down to the springs. I see all kinds of parts I could use just looking at the pictures.

But if your uncle does not want to get it running he should in turn stop worrying about how much he's going to get.

Anyone - can that kind of rear bumper/step damage affect the frame?

Also looks like at some point the engine over-heated and blew coolant everywhere.

Well as someone has already mentioned it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you want to sell it spend some time and money to get it running and maybe drivable. I know of a 74 that is used as a DD time to time, the body is in good shape and for some reason the owner can’t get 4K for it...oh I know... not to many people have 3-4K for 31 year old truck that can drain your bank account. My opinion, and we all know what opinions are like, good sheet metal and frame non running $2500 to $3500, Drivable strong engine $4-6K+ if the interior is good and the tires and breaks are serviceable that will drive the price up as well. I personally think that FJ40’s are over priced but who am I….I got one last winter paid $4k and have put close the $2k into it but this was no surprise, this is the fourth FJ40 I have owned since 1997....I knew what I was getting into.

Good Luck and sorry to rant.:grinpimp:

Later,
Corey
