can anyone give me some GWNF trail updates?

Anyone been there in past week or so? Any thing closed shut down or what not? Local baltimore club we were gonna go to savage mountain in md but they closed down the orv area there . And whos up for a valintine run to show some local baltimore wheelers around down there?

I was there about a month ago. As far as I know everything was still open. Dry River (Salt Shed), is pretty nasty and muddy now, with some huge holes. Didn't go up second mountain or Dictum's Ridge.

Also, I saw in tech that you were looking for some snow. I dont think you are gonna find much in GWNF. It's been real cold but we have gotten nothing in the way of precipitation. HTH.

u makeing me cry. we will be down there on the 10th not shore what trails the group is gonna do. .If your down and around look for my big muddy fj62 normaly grey now a brownish mud tinge

Be wary of the huge water hole, when i was down there brandon from the 80s section sunk his and wasted his gears, better make sure your breathers are set up right.

You'll know it when you see it, it's like 50 ft long filled with muddy water, and it might not look too deep but there are HUGE ruts in it. There are some other holes that might get you but if you have a couple other trucks with straps or a Hilift you will be fine. Unless you do something stupid...

I think I know which mud hole you guys are talking about. The first one you come to after starting on the Salt Shed end, right? I don't have a really good picture of it, but is this the same one?

Nope... that's getting rutted out a little bit but it should still be pretty easy. Devils bath tub is a little ways into the run... the area opens up a bit and there's a lot of the mud/water pits. Couple of places to go in and not come out there...

Looks like that pit changes alot depending on the wheather. We checked the depth of the pit every where but right at the begining , live and learn. Here's the one river crossing i think it's Dry River.

No, thats not it. Devils bathtub is in more, beside the river. You wouldn't even recognize it anymore, its about 4 times the size of when you were there.
