i have a friend that lives down there, and is in desperate, dire straits from a lack of work. if anybody here can help, knows of a job opening, is in charge of hiring, etc, etc, etc, please let me know, and i can forward you her resume.
she has experience as: Administrative Assistant/Event Coordinator , and Video Tech.
if any body can help in any way, please let me know as soon as possible. she and her family are getting down to the wire.

Tell her she can check our agency web site if she doesn't mind "attempting" to work for the State. Sometimes unfortunately with State employment, it's not what you know, but who you know. She can go to www.license.state.tx.us click on employment, there are some postings there she may be able to apply for.

Not sure how far South she wants to travel but the city of new braunfels had a opening for someone to setup and or schedule conventions in the new convention center. If it's still open check the city website. San Marcos Tx is also hiring people....
