Late notice, but I'm meeting some backpacking friends Sat nite up by Dane Springs Cabin up off of the Rim Rd. Camping overnight up there. All easy forest road access

I was thinking I'd come in from the north, up by Clints Well, then follow some FR's down to Dane Springs. One road looks pretty cool on the topo at least, looks like it runs through a canyon and goes by Kinder crossing

Should just a fun, relaxing drive. And, beat the valley heat for a couple of days!

email me karlhoelscher@netscape.com for more info. If anyone is going to go, I'd likely be at Shea/Beeline at about 10am or so.

Was a fun trip. No 4wheelin' per say (all smooth forest roads) but great scenery, lush pine trees, 80 degrees and 50 at night, roaring fire, booze being passed around, campfire songs, sleeping out under the stars.....

Nice -- crowded at all? Or pretty much have the place to yourself? Any idea what kind of land it was on? BLM? National Forest? Other? I've been trying to find a place up there to camp and then do some target practice during the day.
