I'm looking for some recommendations on a camper. I'm thinking pop-up, but would appreciate some input. I definitely don't want something that is marginal as far as my LC pulling it. I would also anticipate some light (Forest Service roads) offroad use.

Thanks.

You may want to post in the camping or trailer section of Mud! Jayco and a few others make off road pop-ups. Nothing major heavy duty, but they have mild lifts , bigger tires, etc.

To get some specific suggestions, you may want to include the following:

1.) What are you pulling it with?
2.) How many people does it have to fit?
3.) Any features you definitely want (stove, heater, shower, etc)
4.) Type of camping.. off grid, or KOA styles?

I have a Jayco Baja 10y.. I love the clearance, and the front rack for hauling gear.

Having bought a non-off road unit, I would recommend the Fleetwood Evolution or Jayco model that have larger tires and better suspension, the standard pop-ups have really skinny tires and bounce all over the place on back roads.
