I have friend looking for a mountain place in or near Cameron/Vass (Moore County). Any recommendations or thoughts on where to buy around that area? Trying to understand the area versus going straight to a real estate agent. Any leads on property for sale?

Thank you in advance.

Good luck finding a mountain in that particular area. (sandhills) Any work I've done around Vass is pretty flat and sandy. That is a popular area for horse farms because of the sand; and the close proximity to Pinehurst, I would guess. Now Carthage sits up on a nice little hill and is not too far from Vass. Maybe Daren will chime in since he is not too far from that area.

Not to echo everyone else's comments but there isn't any mountains in that area.

If they want mountains tell them to Head west.

I have mountain property that I plan to list this summer, but it is in Henderson County, on the mountain. Western NC, as Darin stated.

Ok, sorry about that. She is looking for a new place to live in Vass/Cameron (Moore County). Scratch the mountain statements.

Thanks for all the help.

I was raised in the area used to live 10 minutes from Vass in Southern Pines. Cameron was just a little farther. It's tough to say that I'd ever willingly move to either. Cameron is good if you like quiet and antiques. Vass is good if you like Meth. There's some decent property in the area between. The only place I think I'd recommend to someone who's unfamiliar with the area there is the Woodlake community just south of Vass. What are the reasons for her move to the area?
