So some rando, I think he goes by @2ndGenToyotaFan, sent me some photos of him installing the DashHoleMount on his 85. It’s the green something. Green Bugger, or Green Pimple, or Green Mole. Dunno. Something like that.
Anyway it turns out darn near all of the Toyota flat switch blanks are the same size. Although this was designed with the 80 Series in mind it turns out it fits all of the early Gen 4Runners.
Typically this requires removing her dash to access both sides of it but Jerod was clever enough to use a clothes hanger, from one of his suits that he wears to work, to hold the rear in place while the front and hardware is assembled.
The assembled mount now gives him a threaded 1/4-20 to mount his accessory or ramball of choice. In this case to mount his cell phone.
I literally sold out today but I have another big batch in production now:
