Who can make a set of fenders for me for my Off-Road / Expedition Trailer?

I'm trying to put the finishing touches on my trailer so I can get it out on the trail. The fenders that I currently have on there are too narrow. I'm afraid they could possibly cut the tire. Nobody out there seems to make a square fender wider than 8". Mine need to be like 12" wide.

They need to be:
12" wide
12" top to bottom
26" top surface
36" lower edge to lower edge

Well Jamie I know that Adventure trailers does sell 12" wide fenders...but they are pricey.

No they don't. I've been trying to get a set of their Chaser fenders for months now!

They won't sell me a set or tell me who makes them for AT.

Hi Jamie

There must be about a bazillion fabricating shops in San Diego..on top of all those ship builders that must moonlight on the side. Try putting a posting in Craigslist...I bet someone would whack those together in no time.

Good luck,
Pat

It looks like something you could make yourself. Do you have a welder? Just extend what you have by 4-6 inches and you're good. I would also put rubber flaps front and rear to keep the random rock from being tossed into your rear window.

I know that these shouldn't be difficult to make. If I had a welder, and had a clue how to weld - I'd be dangerous!!! My dad did all the welding on the trailer. I came up with the design, the hardware, and all the ideas. I just can't weld! (yet)

I know my next door neighbor could make em for you cheap,, just drop the trailer off for a couple days and he will get to it,, just it will cost you a couple weeks pay to get it here,, and most likely a crapload of fuel..
AT only does the fenders in batches.. if your timing is right.. if not sol..

Jamie you re a brave lady, dont worry about the welding, guys can handle this..The fenders call Vic
818 727 1585 He will fab a set in the shop is days, Jim

I know you can get a 13" wide single radius (round) fender that is 36" long and 20" high but a jeep style fender in those dimesions is likley not going to be a "off the shelf" part.

I have a new set I just built for my M-416. I made some changes to the trailer after I built the fenders and they are not fitting how i want them. They are real nice, made out of 1" tubing with galvanized sheet metal. I also had them spray lined black. I am in Riverside. Let me know if you are still interested and I will upload a pic. My trailer has 33" tires and the fenders are 12" wide.

You pay shipping both ways and I'll do them for you for $3, enough to buy a couple whopper Jr's while I'm working on them.
