I have a 69 FJ40 with a disc brake conversion.Yesterday I tried to put the stock rims on after running wagon wheel style rims for a while. Now the front rim hits the caliper. My question is,do I have the wrong caliper,or are drum brake, and disc brake rims any different? thanks

The old style rims are rivited and fit on the drum-style brakes
Newer style OEM rims are welded and will fit over the caliper with no problems (and will fit drum brakes)

My guess is that you have the old rivited-style rims

yes I have rivits,THANKS for the reply.I put on some wheel spacers, that gave me the clearance I needed.
