A co-worker's son is trying to buy a car here, then he is planning to move out to CA this Spring. He has his sights on a '94 Corolla wagon, so he's having it checked out now. Does he need to be concerned about having the proper CA emissions equip on it when he goes to re-register it out there? I know at one point all cars became 50-state legal, but I can't seem to find where that is.
I tried the VIN in my EPC and on toyodiy.com, all it says is "USA" for the market, nothing about Federal, CARB, or 50-states.
