Hello,
Looking for advice. I’m after a Northwest/North Central//Central AR location that offers great hiking with a clean cabin to rent as base camp. No wheeling but accessible via boring crossover suv. Anyone have any suggestions?

thanks,
Mo

I've stayed in this AirBNB before:

The cabin is small, but worked great for our family.

Close to lots of Buffalo River hiking (Cecil Cove, Erbie Church, Goat Bluff, etc). Decent dirt roads that your vehicle should handle just fine and close to the Erbie ford if you want to drive across the river. We made a loop starting at the cabin heading west, explored Ponca and the trails around there, and took Hwy 74 back east through Jasper to get back to the cabin. When we took NC2890 (labeled 80 on Google Maps) west from Hwy 7, we spotted quite a few elk in the woods.
